Destigmatizing Dementia Around the World

This week we are talking about destigmatizing dementia.
Dementia is experienced across a large population of people and it often comes with isolation and hardship due to stigma.
This not only makes the experience harder on the individual (as well as their family, caregivers, and loved ones), but it also can induce depression and other negative effects.
This is why I LOVE to see social experiments and projects dedicated to inclusivity and understanding for those with a dementia diagnosis.
Below you will find a video about a restaurant called “Mistaken Orders” in Japan that hires only individuals with dementia. Yes, really. I know that you will be as heart-warmed by their mission as I was.
If you are experiencing dementia, whether it's through a diagnosis, caregiving, or going through this journey with a loved one, know that Sage Solutions is here to provide knowledge, resources, and support.
